Dr. Kureshi is a native Texan who grew up in the Houston area and attended Rice University. He completed medical school at Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock. He then went on to do his general surgery residency at the University of Connecticut in Hartford, CT where his interest in bariatric surgery and laparoscopic surgery began. He then completed the Harvard Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship in Boston, MA where he specialized in performing the Lap-Band and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy procedures.
